Have you done your Advanced Directive and have a living will and a power of attorney? Do your loved ones know what your wishes for your healthcare in a crisis or at end of life? Have you had the conversation? Having a completed Advanced Directive is crucial for anyone 18 years and older. April 16th is the Annual National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD). Some celebrate it on the day, others all week. In the New Jersey tri county area of Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester, TREC ( Tri-county Regional Ethics Committee) and the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute are co sponsoring the FREE EVENT on Thursday April 19th. The NHDD event will be held at the Willingboro Township Senior Citizen Center, 429 John F. Kennedy Center, Willingboro, NJ, 08046 from 1-3 PM. We are pleased to announce our keynote speaker is David Barile,MD the Founder and CEO of New Jersey Goals of Care. The NJ Health Care Quality Institute has a multi county program for COYL (Conversation Of Your Life) . They will be providing Five Wishes a booklet to complete Advanced Directives. This mission of educating people about advanced directives and having the conversation is so important to me that I volunteer as a member of TREC and the NHDD committee, as well as the the BURLCO COYL. We invite you to join us at this free event and to join Americans across the country in making future healthcare decisions know to family, friends, and healthcare providers. Share your wishes and complete your Advanced Directive because… YOUR DECISIONS MATTER!
